Scheelite (Real Steel/Miss St Tropaz) led from barrier to box at Flemington today take out the Group 3 Shaftsbury Avenue Stakes. Having run second to Pride of Jenni to receive his first black type, the win was his 1st at stakes level for the son of Japanese sire Real Steel.

Sold at the 2022 Adelaide Magic millions sale to Ken Keys for 80k, the win makes it a run of 4 winners in 4 days for Collingrove Stud graduates starting with Mr Independent on Wednesday, Superstitious on Thursday and Deliberate Ploy on Friday.
